Self-efficacy and humanitarian aid workers

Abstract As a result of frequent exposure to trauma, aid workers are at high risk for negative psychological symptoms. Training specifically geared fostering critical incident self-efficacy in humanitarian may bolster as well general they relate experiences traumatic symptomatology and resilience. Sixty-three completed questionnaires regarding efficacy, resilience, coping, posttraumatic stress baseline, 46 the same measures after training workshop. Multiple regression analysis indicated that higher levels related resilience levels. General coping (CICSE) were stronger training, even when controlling histories trauma. Histories trauma contributed significant variance CICSE before but insignificant training. These findings suggest organizations can support their by providing promotes through enhancing efficacies.
